ARCTIC BOREALIS HUSKIES

We are a small family business in Ranua, Lapland.

We organize high-quality husky programs and safaris throughout the year.

In winter, husky safaris are organized from the Wild Arctic Husky Park near Ranua Zoo.

In summer and autumn we have husky activities and  husky cart rides at the Arctic Borealis Huskies Kennel in Pohjasperä.

We provide activities with huskies for customers of all ages.

You are warmly welcome to our safari!

Huskyfarmilla asiakkaat saavat ajo-opetuksen ennen kesäkärryajelua huskeilla. Asiakkaat voivat itse ohjata valjakkoa. Arctic Borealis Huskies on pieni perheyritys ja kuvassa perheen isä ja poika antamassa ajo-opetusta.

How the pandemic has affected our business

The pandemic has affected the lives of many people and companies. Small tourism businesses in small localities, in particular, are in trouble, as they have relied almost entirely on foreign customers. Domestic customers are not so interested in small places, and the holiday time of Finns is short. Husky companies have almost the same expenses every time, whether they have customers or not, as dogs must of course be cared for and fed at all times.

If you want to support our activities, the best way to do that is to come to the safari because the dogs enjoy their work. If it is not possible for you to come yourself, you can also buy a gift card, or participate in a sponsor dog activity.

The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on our operations

The impact of a pandemic on the safaris, and security on safaris

Safaris are organized entirely outdoors, so distances to other people are easy to keep.

Only members of the same party always go to one sled.

The group size for the safari is always small, there can be a maximum of 3 different groups / families at a time, ie 3 sledges / safari.

Please come to the safari only in good health.

Please remember to keep a safety distance of 2 meters for other people.

What our customers say...

A wonderful experience
Quite a mindless experience. The guide was nice and everything worked fine. The dogs were lovely and the puppies adorable. We got to ride ourselves and got warm juices, stroked dogs and hugged puppies. I can recommend really warm to everyone. The price / quality ratio is really in place. ”
